Jake Wise and Aurora Tabar talk/workshop

The Solarium
Chicago, IL
  • Tuesday, March 2, 8:00 pm

The Solarium welcomes you to our ongoing underground/overground coffee house event. Guest presenters will be Jake Wise and Aurora Tabar.

We're going to hold a workshop/discussion/participatory event. We have worked together briefly in the past, and our approaches to improvisation and performance differ, but we're not sure by how much and in what ways. We might address how two people working together might negotiate those differences, how an audience might become part of a performance or just listen and watch improvisatorily, and how one might approach diving into a performance situation with many unknowns. I will probably talk about some key moments in my learning process. My hope is that the attendees take away some idea of improvisatory process and what that might mean for them.
